Ihr Inselbewohner seit alle wahnsinnig :D

When there is the chance to get one of those "Eagle-BMW-Sticker" I would take one.

Then ask Google.... 'German eagle BMW sticker' will do it.

It's an amazing invention, the inventor will make a fortune.

You'll find the cross sticker / transfer the same way. Just think, you'll be able to get them before they appear in the UKGSer store. You'll be the envy of your friends.

I think most of us are interested in the Balkenkreuz, but agree the eagle could be seen as tasteless and offensive.

Actually I think many out there in the real world will also be offended by use of the Balkenkreuz:

"The straight-armed Balkenkreuz was the emblem of the World War II Wehrmacht (German Armed Forces) and its branches"

Which in turn is representative of the 3rd Reich, like the eagle.

Anybody would think ukgser is tryin to set up its own branch of combat 18!, its a sticker for ffs!, the vdub comunity have been using similar stickers for years, without confrontation

I think the eagle sticker is great and not one bit offensive. How about a swastika but in reverse as ive previously mentioned. This is a goodluck symbol in greek mythology but im sure many would kick-off not understanding what the reverse swastika symbolises.. dare you.

Do you think to avoid offending anyone we could get a sticker with a budgie replacing the eagle, and possibly a beach ball instead of the roundel ?

This thread reminded me of an old Uncle, dead now who was BEF, pulled out at Dunkirk, went through North Africa and off to Berlin and the Nazi equivalent
To Butlins via Italy as a little trip during the 1940's.. :augie

In 1994 I had a new company Car a 3 series BMW.... Fully yuppied up.... I went to a family "do" and everybody but him came out to have a look... Later he said he would not even be a passenger in a German or Jap car, preferring to walk...fair play to the old boy RIP uncle Frank...:thumb2

When i were 14 back in 1977 me grandma asked me mum if her grandson (me) would like a brand new black n white telly for his bedroom. Now this is back when no kid had a telly in his room,he'd be lucky to have a tranny radio and a wind up alarm clock...... now the telly arrives and is rapidly set up in me bedroom plug the round wire aerial in and hey black n white tv 14" in my room. I felt like a millionare. Now when i were somethin like in me late thirties not long before me gran passed away the story of the portable HITACHI telly came up.. well turns out me gran and grandadwho spent 6 years eves dropping on rommel had made a pact with some of their friends back in the forties that they would have nowt in the house made by the japs. And true to their word grandad drove a riley kestrel and an austin allagro till his drivin days were over. Boys came back from jap prison camps shattered and not the same persons. God bless them. Strange tho they had no probs with the krauts. Think it were the pow thing.

Was at Vines in Guildford a few Sundays ago.

The had a WC GSA in the workshop in similar livery - but with the Maltese-style crosses.

It looked seriously cool...

It looks cools, but it brings this to my Mind. Just saying. It's not for me.

Maybe it's not a German bird/insignia, but it reminds me of one.
