Looking to replace the stolen GSA , cant find the spec of my old one so pondering where to compromise, the old one had adaptive hight , but I found it a pain in London as it was always in low. Those who have adaptive hight on their bikes , would you spec it 2nd time round ?

Thats what i did most of the time which hot me thinking do i need it ,
If you don't have it, one or both will happen:
1) You will have to buy a Cuban heel for the sidestand because they lean over enough on low. Any camber and it just gets silly. Cheaper, for sure, but I don't think the ARH is that pricey.
If your inside leg measurement is 32" like mine (or less):
2) One day in town (especially on the continent where pedestrians do not look before they cross, and is becoming the norm in the UK as well) some idiot will make you do a turn/stop manouevre (ask me how I know) and that extra 30mm of drop can make all the difference between saving it, or dropping it, as once it goes much beyond about 15 degrees, I, for one, struggle to hold on to the thing, especially when it's fully loaded.

5’9 and 32” here…..I would have it again 
. It’s keeps the balance really low when in slow manoeuvres and has saved me a few times when paddling the bike and the ground below my foot has taken an unexpected drop.

put your VIN in a decode tool - it will bring a list of the exact spec you had
I would not. two reasons:
If you are travelling at a low speed and turn enthusiastically (eg take off at a roundabout in traffic and immediately turn) you can scrape the pegs which is offputting.
Personally I have had multiple problems with the system for the 18months I have had the bike.
If it was 100% reliable I wouldnt put people off but the lowering doesnt assist me in my day to day riding. IMHO it's not worth the money unless you need the bike to be lower

Bit of a story and if you believe in fate !
Was due to go and pick one up today but the dealer was so busy we could not get the deal done as he was busy.
While haggling on phone good old vines called rang back popped down and deal done in two hours ! Bettered the original by a reasonable amount, and local.
So a departure from the last one in so much gone asa, and a black bike which I have not owned since i was 17 and stuffed a gs 550 into a tree !
