Adaptive LED

Nope BMW will be issuing in registration date chronological order according to my complaints handler at BMW customer services

I am still waiting for mine as well , what is pissing me off is they are selling them now with led ones , in theory could this be a not fit for purpose as the bikes have adaptive suspension and with the halogen ones are fixed so could blind oncoming drivers

Its not just headlights lol,

I waited 5 months to get a new ECU for my 16 plate hexhead, yet not one new bike failed to be built and arrive at the dealership !!

Sold short ?

I was told when I brought the bike in October last year , that these would definitely be a retro fit, but so far have had only excuses fro dealership
Dealership referred me to Motorrad uk who passed me back to dealership.
I’m wondering if we are not going to get these , I’m getting pretty fed up.

I enquired about a new build, told that they will be coming with light but no heated seat - current stock has heated seat but no light!

I am still waiting too. Have been appalled by BMW Customer Services. They don’t answer the phone, they don’t reply to emails and they don’t respond to letters. The dealer pretends not to know anything and refers me to BMW Motorrad.
I bought my bike in September and can see the voucher expiring before it can be used.
They can’t say the lights are not available as new bikes have been available with them for some months now.
I think this will be my last experience with BMW Motorrad. The Multistrada looks good to me and it would be great to enjoy some customer service instead of being ignored or fooled off.

knrv8, they said the same to me and I said I thought it might me my last as those customers that bought last year have been forgotten about They aren't bothered

Whatever supply issues that have, the lack of communication and customer service stinks. They really don’t seem to care. The vouchers will time out and they will have got away with it.

I heard that owners in the US were given a $500 discount, rather than a voucher, to accept the bike without the adaptive LED headlight. The adaptive light & it's controller costs around $2500 apparently, so the idea was that when the LED light eventually become available, the owner pays back 500 bucks & the dealer fits the new, all singing all dancing adaptive light & everyone goes away happy. Happy that they have been buggered around for months, given BS by the cartload & are left hoping that the retro-fit actually works if/when it ever arrives stateside.

We have all come to expect this sort of crap from the likes of Currys, but I sense everyone has been somewhat generous accepting this behaviour from BMW. The trouble is bikers are just too 'nice' these days.

A lesson learned though - I suggest BMW would have put more energy behind this if the majority of owners had refused the bikes last year, leaving the monkey on their back so to speak.

Just e mailed Mr Schramm, will see if I get any response. Hasn't bounced back so am assuming e mail might be correct

Thanks for that Yorkshire. I have emailed Mr Schramm as well. I agree that we have all been too nice and put up with very poor treatment.

I have to have just emailed Herr Marcus Schramm lets see if we get a reply.

Make sure you tag the emails to 'request read receipt' - even if denied it will help get the message across.

As above.... read receipt response is optional in most mails
Delivery receipt, however, shows that the mail was delivered to the address you entered

It might be a bit late but anyone else doing this might want to copy the editors of various bike mags, the motoring correspondent of the Times, Telegraph, whatever, as crap customer service taints the whole brand, including the cars.

Make sure he can see who you’ve copied.

It might help.
