I've been spec'ing my new GS. I've agreed a deal with the local motorrad dealer 10 days ago. This weekend trawling around the configurator....as you do....I came across an option for Adaptive Light Modes and Rear Collision Warning. They weren't there a few days ago. Must be new for the '26 model year. Dealer doesnt know much about it. The configurator says ........

The adaptive light modes offer optimal lighting conditions when driving at night with their speed-dependent road lighting. There are three lighting levels for the low-beam and high-beam headlights: for low, moderate, and high speeds.
Product details
  • Optimal road lighting at three levels, dependent on speed
  • Dynamic actuation of the LEDs for the low-beam and high-beam headlights in the matrix headlight
  • Wide outward distribution of light when riding slowly and in urban traffic
  • Illumination of a larger area at moderate speeds on country roads
  • Cone of light reaching greater distances at higher speeds
As its only £150 on top....I think you need the headlight pro to get it. So I have gone for it. At this stage, why not.

BUT my question to the forum...... does anyone else know anything about this?

Thanks. AP

PS First post....hello everyone.

a non TE bike needs this option first
Headlight Pro £ 500.00

Headlight Pro impresses with improved vision and an attractive appearance. Driving lights, high-beam headlights and cornering lights come in an LED matrix design. Modern lighting functions and headlight range adjustment are available. This way, you can optimally illuminate the road to suit the driving situation.

But you are correct they have now added more modes for it with

They have robbed the electric screen from being a std TE Option
They have added rear collision flashy lights for £50 on top of £795 Rider Assistant

both the Adaptive light mode and the Rear collision - are the sort of toys a dealer could code on with a paid for update - they always had retrofit stuff - you buy a software license (FSC) and they play about with factory build records - then a little software update and extras become official

The electric screen was never a standard TE option. It was (and is) part of the Triple Black/Option 719 packages or also available as part of the Comfort pack.

part of other options as you say - its not the first two you mention - likely comfort then...

Doesn't sound like anyone here know much about it yet other than what we can all read on the configurator. It'll be a couple of months yet till I get the bike, but I will write a report of what it does when I get it. I have ordered the TE version of the TP, so it will have the leccy screen. I'm not so bothered about the rear collision thing as I'm intending to fit a Weizer Wizard kit anyway.

when on the configurator as you add stuff the address bar gets longer - after each comma is the option codes shown in the bikes Vehicle Order (VO)

S 05AG Adaptive light modes - but must already have S 0219 £500 Headlight Pro
S 05AR Rear Collision - but must already have S 05AS £795 Rider Assistance

goodness knows they make this stuff hard to come by
