Bringing the bike up to dubling this morning for uk buyer tomorrow. got a flat wheel and then rang insurance

all i got was long list for uk callers so hung up after while. now went rang local 24hr recovery that i knew and he sorted me out.

rang to claim back and told wont pay as i didnt ring their correct break down recovery sorry bye bye.

now i know by right if i had all my insurance details i could have found the number there but i browed online and rang them direct and as i did that they wont pay.

bit harsh but left me with huge bill. so AA here i come i think and will be returning to the old quinn direct as they used be very helpful with breakdowns.

my rant over.

least was not rainign at 05.30

I use Autoaid around £36 a year, pay and claim, perfect for your needs yesterday as you can call anyone you want, pay on site and claim back, used four or five times over the last 10 years, most expensive claim was £750, cheque arrived within a week.

Best bit is when you ring someone and they are busy, you just ring someone else.

I think it's hard to blame adlade on this one they are quite clear on their procedures I was with them last year no problems back with Carole nash no reason just handier jjh

Tech they are correct but think more annoyed at myself but quinn covered me before for same issue.

Think be going cn next year. Just very poor customer service as the auto reply did not specify irish claims

Ah least no1 injured

I like sound of autoaid

Pretty fed up with Adelaide as well. Ran over debris, destroyed wheels. They used a 'claims handler'. Basically Adelaide told me to talk to the claims handlers, they told me they couldn't speak to me because they were agents of another party, (i.e. Adelaide)...........and so on and on and on. And then they decided not to replace the tyres as they were 'almost new'. When I protested that the wheels had been completely destroyed, so the tyres weren't exactly in pristine condition they referred me back to the claims handlers who refused to speak to me......Took over 8 weeks to get my back bike and it was a simple claim (technically my fault, no other parties to deal with).

That was this time last year and I have to say I did renew with them, but only because they were so much cheaper than anyone else (via the IAM).

well i found same they kept saying you dont deal with us for claims ring sthis crows and they refused talk me today as said we not your insurer

Not Adelaide

With a friend up North recently who broke down. Adelaide said they would cover one hour of roadside assistance (useless unless motorbike specific) or tow to nearest appropriate dealer/workshop, and I think that had a maximum distance of 30 miles.

Certainly won't be going with them:eek:

checked policy, max 15mi they take mine or retun to base for storage. so would have ended up paying for bike be taken away to my house anyway as not many bike shops around and not hope any being within 30-40 miles
