I'm about to fit the Touratech adjustable pegs. Looks like I have to remove the gear lever to get the pin out.

Does anyone know what size the torx socket is. Any advice for getting the lever off and putting back on??

:) as I recall, it's an E8 socket, top tip..use a hammer and punch, and dot mark the end of the shaft where the split in the lever is so you can get it back in exactly the right place, just tap it, you don't need to belt it !:D
also remove the bolt entirely, don't just slacken it as it passes thru a "waist" in the shaft to lock it on...
other than that it's easy..really easy in fact:thumb2

Thanks:bounce1

Change the bolt to a metric one at the same time, can't remember the size but it will make life easier too as you dont need to carry a separate tool for just one bolt. Sure someone on here can tell you the size.

Looks like an m6 x 25. Will change!

Do you know if its ok to cut spring as it protrudes quite a lot??
