Trying to set the spring preload on my new WP shock. Didn't go for the hydraulic preload option which may, in hindsight, be a mistake.

Any thoughts on how to turn the collar down? There's no C spanner supplied and the OE BWM spanner isn't compatible!

If you pill the metal part out of the plastic part of the screwdriver that came with the shock you'll find it turns out to be the 'tool' you need to insert into the little holes in the bit above the spring. There's an allen key lock bolt that holds it all together (kinda ;) ) that you'll need to slacken off before you can turn it.

Alternatively, do what someone showed me to do and just turn the spring by hand.

P.S. - With hindsight, I'm glad I got the remote preload adjuster :P

Tried that and managed to break the screwdriver. The metal broke that is! :(

Doubt that'll work, but I'll have a look.

I think I need some form of pin spanner. Have e-mail WP for their thoughts.

The instructions that you get with the shock are pretty poor I'm afraid.
