I can only get on a couple of websites, one is Google and the other I came across by chance testing my Internet connection between checking/changing settings. These load up instantly, no other website will load at all......website found, waiting for reply.
How strange is that - couple of sites load normally everything else just fails to load altogether!!!
Discounted an issue with my PC (ran a laptop on the same adsl connection with exactly the same results) and my ISP are (apparently) on the case now but they say it will take 5 days to resolve??!! (I bet that excludes Sat and Sun) - by the way Orange have really rubbish support, only on the 3rd phone call to them did I get someone who appeared to have at least a little technical ability!
BT have checked the line and say it's ok but I'm not sure about that - tried my old dial-up connection via 56k modem and the best connection I could get was 14kbps.....always used to be 45+, too slow to use.
Anyone ever come across an odd situation like this?.........getting fed up already having to pop round to friends to check mail etc.
