Adv 350

Amazing the bikes that are being developed in the face of net zero trying to do away with IC powerplants.
You’d have thought of all the classes of motorcycles scoots would be the first to succumb being primarily city transport.

I guess the Chinese must know something that Ed Milliband and now Miatta Fahnbulleh are being kept in the dark from?

A guy I know has ridden scooters for many years and has quite recently purchased a Zontes, I saw the bike at Masham last May and it looks superb

I'm told he has experienced some rusting issues on one of the wheel spoke areas, which I believe was sorted to his satisfaction

Here's a poor picture of his Zontes
I think the number decals are way too small?! 🤣

I believe the price difference is nearly a grand. However, I agree about the Honda being the safe option 👍
Even at £1,000 difference I’m guessing the ADV350 will be worth at least that much more than the chinky after 3 years?!
So the overall cost of ownership is at least equal…………and you get to ride around on a Honda instead of that thing 🤔

Dealership representation of Chinese products does seem to be increasing which is good for product support/maintenance

Yes I tend to agree, but perhaps I’ll not judge it until they’ve been out a while and folk have actual experience of running problems, depreciation etc.

Took my ADV in for its first service yesterday morning, then decided to make a day of it. Ended up doing just over 200 miles all around the Peak District, great fun.

Ended up doing a few junctions down the M6 to come home and it has absolutely no problem at all cruising at 70+ even taking into consideration that the speedo is almost 10% optimistic.

For the day it still averaged over 80mpg.... and it was no less comfortable than my old 2008 GSA that would potentially have used near double the fuel.

The (ali-express) little side-fairing wind deflector things are worth while, they keep the wind blast off the old knees, need to consider a taller screen or a deflector add on thing as even in the upright position I get a face full of wind.

Suspension can be a bit harsh at times, but that's the roads for you....

The ADV's a keeper....

Roger.
