Due to a slight collision with a bush because of an encounter of the 4 wheeled variety (I missed the b*******d but only just........came around the bend on a single track on the wrong side), I have slightly damaged my front beak.

Only very slight damage to the beak but this would be covered by an ADV beak extenda (you know, the black plastic end bit). I have been told by a local dealer that these can be had from BMW for £17 (+VAT) or £60 from T/T.

Question...does anyone out there know for certain if the BMW (obviously!)1200 ADV beak extension will fit a STANDARD 1200?

Also interested but...

Would also like to get one but was wondering what it's actual purpose is?

Any ideas?

The front of the beak is very prone to stone chips, branches (if you leave the road like I did!) etc. Any damage to the beak at the front can be hidden far cheaper than a replacement beak or re-spray. If it happens again (I hope not!!!) simply replace the extenda.

Apart from that some people think it looks good.
