Can anyone post a picture or instructions of the lid straps on the Adv luggage?

My luggage isn't fitted with he straps and I've been having problems with the lids falling full open. One hinge is already broken!

I can see that one end could mount on the tie down bolts, but not sure of the other end?

Thanks.

Get some stainless steel wire trace and crimps from a fishing shop. Perfect for the job :thumb

it pretty straight forward,
you fit the strap to the allen bolts that are already there just position the strap so when the lid is at a right angle the strap is taut, job done

Got it.
Tie down mount bolts on the lid and the mount bolts for the black plastic "wedge". Therefore different lengths for the top case and panniers.

Steptoe, thanks for the material recommendation.

If your bike is R1150GSA, go to BMW dealer for new replacement hinges and new wire restraint which was not part of the new bike then. I had mine fitted FOC under warranty after a freak gust of wind coming in from the Solent in a camping site blew one of my lids off and wrecked its hinges when left opened in a vertical position for unloading my luggage!
