Does anyone know what the threaded lugs at the rear underside of the carrier frame are for on the adv ali luggage system?

D'you mean this? The bolt is missing out of this one too (got broke when I got whacked by another bike in the Sahara)

If so, there should be a "sprung" bolt affair in each one. Can't think of a better way to describe it.

You pull the "bolt" out when you lower the carrier and it clicks/locks into place, stopping the carrier rotating up and down.

Sounds logical. My sprung bolts are missing in that case. Whaddya reckon the carriers need locking into place for? In regular use they are either folded up or are held in position by the metal case. Am I missing something?
