Nothing rubs on the touratech ones, but they are not waterproof by any means. Unlikely for the bags to get nicked as they are a B***h to get off once fitted. But the contents may well dispappear as no locks.
Personally use them to carry stuff I would need on a daily basis or extra food drinks etc.,
