Has anybody tried the Touratech seat extension and luggage rack extension for the 1150GSA? Catalogue no. 055-2110 & 051-1103. As we are going touring two up this year I am trying to ensure the Doris is as comfortable as possible to save too much grief through the Autocom!

If you have tried it, did your pillion find it beneficial , and did it make a noticeable difference to the handling by moving the pillion and top box back by a few inches? Any inside information would be appreciated. :bow

I bought one of the rear seat extensions and shortened it so that I could still use the BM tin luggage. Best of both worlds, and SWMBO seemed happier with it rather than the grab rails.

Selling the bike so if you're interested .......

If you can post a pic of your shortened version I'll let you know if I want to take it off your hands. I presume that the rack extension allows re fitting of the BM ally top box and not just a Touratech topbox? :nenau

The BM tin top box is left in the same place, it hasn't moved. All it does is replace the grab rails. I'd recommend removing the front inboard lugs on the BM tin panniers lids as well. Posts 12 and 15 here: http://www.touratech-usa.com/shop/s...on=touratech:5E14BCBEAD26F172D035FB1BF1D2BC49 show it to some extent. I'm away till Thursday evening when I'll take a bit more detailed photo of the seat extension.
