I have got an 1150 adv tank but i think it must have the standard internals fitted as the fuel gauge is incorrect . Is there a part i can get to rectify this or some way of adjusting what i have to rectify the problem .And if anyone got a parts fiche of the internals i would appreciate it .
Thanks in advance:thumb

adv tank has a different float unit, but i believe you can bend the gs item to make it work better.

This is what i did to my standard 1100 sender with an adv tank fitted...
Could not get it correct by bending it...Works fine now

What is the exact problem.

The genuine ADV sender unit reads full until the tank is approx half empty, then it decreases the same as a normal tank.

The ADV gauge doesn't start decreasing from full as the fuel gets used like the 1150. It stays reading full until 120-130 miles, then decreases as normal.

When folks swop tanks to an ADV, they assume the gauge works as the standard gauge, it doesn't, until half empty.

The standard gauge does need adjusting to read correct when fitted in an adv tank. But don't worry because it doesn't operate the in the same way.

Thanks for the replies:thumb
Steptoe the problem i have is when the yellow fuel low warning light comes on i still have about 12 lts of fuel left and wondered if i could bent the float wire to give a more accurate indication of fuel level
