Advanced riding course

You are now charged even if you pay by a debit card and if you don't print your own documents there is a £3 charge if you require them to send you the documents. I did much better elsewhere for my bikes and only insured my car again because I left it until the last minute. They did not remind me renewal was due by any manner. The lady I spoke to had a could not care less, take it or leave it attitude, they can fcuk right off next year.:rob

I've just renewed my insurance. Had a 6 Wheel deal with C.Nash but they wanted £499 this year which I thought was a tad rich. So a few phone calls and using Direct line, bike sure and a RAC Breakdown cover leaves me £80 to the good.
Pays to nose around I guess.

I get a renewal, I go to the other, they ask what I've been quoted, I don't tell them, I just ask them to give me their best quote .... they put me on hold, come back and give me their premium.

It's either cheaper or it isn't :blast

If it's cheaper I'll go with them, if it's not I tell them I'm sorry, but you can't compete, they never drop their price ....

I don't want cheap insurance .... I want good insurance :rob

Edit .... as an IAM Examiner I've always managed to get cheaper and better insurance than any IAM 'offers'

How daft is that :blast

Hmm... so you DO still have go elsewhere (even if in your case only one competitor) to check out whether your renewal quote - " is cheaper than elsewhere in the first place". Where's the difference with my scenario as long as it is "good" insurance?

BTW you are spot on about insurance quality - we all need to ensure that the broker is offering a Defaqto 5* product from the underwriter - this is far more important than marginal savings in premium.

I can definitely recommend a day out with Giles. I went out with him after passing my IAM and had a brilliant time and he helped me start down the road to taking my riding up another level.

If you are interested in intensive training I can recommend a company that runs an Advanced Training week that runs from Wales and into Scotland.
It is run by an Ex Class 1 and all the instructors are serving bike cops and IAM\Rospa examiners. Everyone that has done the course has passed the IAM\Rospa tests at the end of the week, but more importantly has learnt loads, elevated their riding and had a fantastic time.

I've put together some videos of my trips with 1stClass Rider Training (over the 3 times I've been away with them - that's how much fun I've had !)
Might give you an idea of the trip\course if you're interested
