Has anyone modded a strandard GS with Adventure front footpegs? Having tired an Adventure for 10 days around Morocco recently, I preferred the size and feel of them compared to the small thin standard items. Having bought a pair form Ebay, I find that the Adventure footrests are wider at the pivot point that slots into the hanger on the frame. Closer inspection appears to show two"spaecers" tack welded into the frame to narrow the gap for the GS pegs and it looks like, if I remove these somehow, the Adventure pegs will slot in. Failing that, I will need to modify the Adventure pegs to fit. Before I proceed, I wonder if any other members have already made this modification?

Thanks in advance

Sell the BMW ADV ones:

order some FastWay pegs.
order 2 standard GS footpeg rubbers from a BMW dealer.

Once you've got the pegs install them, remove the rubbers from the existing footpegs then insert all four BMW footpeg rubbers into the FastWay pegs (or don't fit the rubbers for off-roading).

Done.

Far more comfy (sitting and standing) and can be adjusted to provide more or less legroom.

As for your actual problem, I'm no help at all.
