Oh dear ...

.. this won't make anyone happy.

Just renewed today with BMW Insurance - £147 fully comp!

Big chain and lock, garage, age(47), postcode and BMW Riding Skills course (7.5% discount) all helped. Recent 3 points from camera made no difference and they weren't interested in extras (topbox, panniers, etc.)

I have to say - can't get much fairer than that ...

I'll be picking the bike up at 9'ish, and plan to put a few miles on it as the forcast looks good. I am meeting with a mate on a RT so will probably be drinking tea until mid morning and then going for a ride so will see you all there.

Simon:

Have you actually seen yours yet . . . with your bars off the R? I must admit it looks bloody good. Be interesting to see how it handles. I reckon they're a good 3" to 4" narrower.

Blue & White, same as mine. I must get clear indicator lenses. They look cool with the Blue colour scheme.

Weather forecast says "sunshine and showers". Oh well, we've only had 15 days without rain. It's bound to piss it down 'cause you're picking your bike up!

See you there all being well.

Yes I saw it the other day and it looks good, the only thing is that they could not get the original hand guards to fit so left them off. I will have a look and see if they can be modified to fit, if not I will look to get some aftermarket ones.
I must say that I sat on it, and it does feel a lot narrower than standard, so I hope it handles OK. If not I can play with it at my leisure and maybe fit a set of Protapers from Ricky.

Hope to see you on Saturday

Cecil/Simon/whatever

As you may remember, I have a similar width restriction to yourself - I would be very interested to see a piccie when you get it and hear about your impressions riding it.

If you have ridden a normal GS I would also be interested to hear what the differences are in the riding experience.

You lucky man - I'm envious !

Cheers

Spreggo,

I made a mistake...my ploicy was £190 last year when I was 39 this years cost me £145.91

:D

Fully comp, but the value column says just £1. Get a puncture and they'll write it off.
