I had a 2009 1200mu gs which had adventure luggage fitted.
Last September I swapped this bike for a 2011 tu gs.

I removed the adventure luggage and frames to put onto the new bike.
I'm going away next week so went to fit the luggage frames to the new bike, but they don't quite fit and on the exhaust side the bottom lug were the pannier slides on actually fouls on the exhaust.
Taking the frames on and off is something I've done many times so I don't think I'm doing anything wrong.

I checked with the dealer, who at the point of purchase told me the frames would transfer, and they say that they should fit.

Anyone out there able to shed any light on this i,e. are they the same or slightly different?

Hi

Had a similar problem - my GSA's exhaust was almost touching the pannier rails (as do many it seems).
The solution is to undo the exhaust clamp where the endcan joins the headers and move it either in or out (cannot rember which) to realign the
end can - took about 5 mins.

Cheers Steve,
Worked a treat:thumb2

Obvious really, but then the obvious is often overlooked.

Steve.
