Adventure Motorcycling Handbook 6th Edition launch, Adventure Bike Shop, 27 October

Hi folks,

Just been chatting to my buddy Cliff, and he told me that the author of Adventure Motorcycle Handbook, Chris Scott, will be at the Adventure Bike Shop on 27 October to meet people, have a chat and sign / sell some of his newly launched 6th edition.

There will be free tea, coffee and bacon rolls (This is why Cliff called me, I fear. I know my place ) and it would be good to see you guys there. There is the usual range of goodies in stock (most of which I seem to have bought), so come along, have a browse and buy that little something you never knew you needed.

Oh yes, and there is plenty of car parking if it is a bit too chilly or wet to be adventurous on two wheels.

Also some great roads round that way.

A131 Halstead to Sudbury is cracking and not too much traffic.

B1508 Sudbury to West Bergholt another great road, narrow and twisty, not much traffic.

A1124 Eight Ash Green to Sturmer, nice sweeping road, can sometimes have a fair bit of traffic on, but worth it if you get a clear day.

A143 Haverhill to Bury St Edmunds, nice wide sweeping road, lots of places for decent overtakes.

There's also loads of good roads around the Finchingfield area.

Less than 3 weeks to go until this event. Please don't make me eat all the food myself. I am just losing weight!

As an aside, went for a lovely ride today via Sudbury... Some great roads between there and Finchingfield and beyond, with not much traffic.

Hi Folks, Jennys had loads of responses on her facebook page about the open day so I think it will be pretty busy here on Saturday, It would be nice to get a few more responses letting us know that you are coming so we can make sure that we do not run out of bacon rolls this time

The books will be discounted a bit, £15 instead of £15.99 and Chris will be signing copies.

Had a great ride over, sunshine, 4deg, heavy rain, cross winds and I only came from Milton Keynes.... Lol
Good turn out and great chats were had, big respect to the nutters that came from Dorest for the day leaving at 6am!
Bought some great new water proofs that worked 100% on the way home.
