Adventure Rear Shock

I don't see why not, but don't forget the centre stand and side stand are longer on the Adventure to suit the taller ride height.
It would be best I think to fit front and rear shocks not just the rear, otherwise the weight distribution/handling will be affected i.e nose down - tail up.

Sorry Mike:(
Thought if the GS ohlins fitted the ADV, then the ADV rear shock
would fit the GS.
You could try measuring the bottom of the ADV shock and comparing it against a GS shock.
I've got a spare in the garage :D

Gates,

here's the sitch. BMW are going to replace my rear shock under warranty. I've agreed with my dealer to have a rear Ohlins fitted and I get to keep the new Showa. To defray the cost of the Ohlins, I want to sell the unused Showa. Clearly, there will be a very limited market for replacement shocks which will only fit the Adventure - hence my question:)

BMW replaced my rear shock too 58 miles and sitting on a shelf in the garage, but i'm not going to sell it as i intend to buy an adventure soon and will put the ohlins on that.
One interesting thing is that someone on Advrider said a GS
rear Ohlins dos'nt fit on the ADV though touratech say they do
