If i choose to throw away my standard screen and fit an adventure screen instead is it mounted by the same 4 points as the standard screen??? Do I need any extra brackets/bracing/plasters/patience, as if i do then I'm fukced, as I dont have any!!!!! Answers on the back of a Tenner to: You dont half ask some stupid questions, PO box 0....
P.S. Why the feck anyone would want a standard screen I really dunno, cos its too short for me, but its spotless under all the dead flies.......if you want it, im sure we can sort summat out...
I fitted the 'high and wide' screen from Nippy Norman's onto my GS (agree the standard one is not much use). It uses the standard mounting points and while it may not be the most pretty screen ever it works. I am 6ft1in and now I can open my visor on the motorway if I want to without getting my eyes blown out plus the reduction in buffeting around my helmet is very noticeable.
I'm taking a guess but at £80 I suspect the Nippy Normans version is a fair bit cheaper than a GSA screen as well.
Click here for a link to the screen if you are interested.
P.S. I did have to modify the mounting holes slightly using a Dremel but that may be due to me having the 2010 model and the screen being made for an earlier version. It only took 10 minutes so no big deal.
