Well MrsDave has got her new bike (well 2nd hand, but new to her)..

F650GS (Twin), so although she doesn't pick it up till next saturday she is already looking through all the things she wants for it..

1st on the list is a set of crashbars, to hopefully limit any damage if it gets dropped.

Looking at posts on here it seems that the Adventure Spec Bars are fairly well regarded. And MrsDave likes the look of them too (and that is very important)

So before we order up a set has anyone got any reason why they wouldn't do, or suggestions on fitting them etc..

and does anyone have a discount code for them - well if you don't ask ;)

I fitted them to my F650 and although I haven't had to 'test' them yet (*touch wood!) they're great. Seem much sturdier than any other bars out there.

Fitted quickly and without any problem - only getting torx bolt out was a pain, make sure your adapter is long-enough as the bolt is quite far down.

Highly recommended- I had a fairly spectacular off at slow speed with the crash bars fitted and they saved hundreds of pounds of damage. My review is on the website. They are quite wide when fitted (for good reason - they may bend slightly when dropped, but they bend back into shape nicely) so make sure you're happy with the width.
