adventure tank capacity

Managed to get 496 kms out of the adventure tank. Filled it up afterwards and it took 33L. Not from some lousy and obscure petrol station but from my local shell dealer.

Anyone had the same experience with the tank capacity?

Downside. Took petrol just before I came home. Now the overflow is dripping because the engine heats up the fuel... Better do it when leaving next time. Probably enhances my range until over 500kms.

Unless you've corrected the speedo drive on the bike, you're still going to be 10% over so only 450kms really (still much better than the standard tank, though).

Or was the distance reading from your GPS?

33l is amazing. Have you modified the filler neck?

Distance was based on speedo and no modification done. I have put the bike on the centerstand though and filled up the last bit very carefully.

Extra detail: bike was loaded with 15 kg each side (30 total). Without the load the range would probably even be more impressive.
