adventure top box on standard GS

has anyone fitted an adventure top box to a standard GS and if so have you any pics?

Yes. Also have the panniers too.

It’s not very exciting photographically, pretty much the same as it looks on a GSA.

Happy to take some in the morning though...

Yes, 4 bolts and two spacers.

I have the Rallye seat and blanking plate, but standard seat set up would fit - no different set up to my previous GSA. Basically, if you look at your rear seat now, you can see the 4 x fixing points and the frame does not cross the seat space st all.

Do you have the r1150gsa rear top box fitting rack as well?

I am nots sure what Burnsey means Rallye seat on an 1150.

Yes as you can see it bolts almost straight on

The pictures were taken with the rack off, this was dry run to make sure it all fitted, the bolts were replaced with correct length ones when fitted properly

The front/grabrail bolts go straight on perfectly

I used a bit of aluminium channel as you can see for the rear, bit of measuring to ensure correct hole spacing

The most rearward piece of aluminium is there as a bit of belt and braces, the GSA aluminium rack is longer and uses the most rearward holes on the top box rack, as you can see the standard GS rack is shorter. The piece of aluminium flat bar is shimmed underneath by approx 2mm so that the bar sits just under the rear edge of the rack with zero gap but without actually squeezing it and or pulling the rear of the top box rack down. This extra support just helps stop the top box rack flexing.
