You can fit the rear shock from a standard 1150. That'll lower it by about an inch (but you may need the side/centre stands from it as well). Then you can look at lower or re-shaped seat options.

Same problem as myself. 30 inch inside leg measurement, had to have the Adventure so...lower seat fitted and I bought a great pair of Tuareg Hein Gericke boots with tyre pattern sole for grip and they give me an extra inch in height. These little things have made the world of difference. Othe tricks in handling the adventure include not filling the 30 odd litre tank! Enjoy
