I have been quoted £340 from a main dealer to replace the original tyres on my 2015 GSA with new Roadtec's which seems about right with the fitting costs etc. The originals lasted 5500 before squaring right off due to my normal 2 up with full luggage riding "style".... Would there be a better tyre pairing for this type of road use?
Thanks for your help guys...!!

I recently had some very nice pirelli Scorpion Rally str tyres fitter on my LC for £255.. £340 is steep!

Learn to fit them yourself, for that you could buy a bead breaker and a tyre

I recently had a set of Avon Trail Riders fitted to my 2017 GSA by my dealership for £284 all in, so your £340 seems a tad high :nenau

Set of Tourance Next from my main dealer £240 fitted ?? Seems expensive.

Any pair of tyres north of £250 and you're being ripped off

Just had Roadtecs supplied and fitted to my loose wheels at a local small business I trust and have used several times in the past. Cost £290, but supply and fit means I qualify for the £30 cashback from Metzeler, so the net cost is £260. I looked at sourcing the tyres myself but the cheapest I found was about £240, so with fitting there was not much in it, and buying the tyres myself would not have qualified for the cashback according to my reading of the T&Cs for the cashback.

A further point about the Roadtecs, I was interested to see how the rear tyre has an almost constant radius of curvature meaning that the last 2-3 cms of the tyre's width on each side looks eminently usable. In contrast the Annekee 3s I took off curve very sharply in that area, almost vertically towards the edges, to the point that I doubt anyone sane would be making much use of the full width of the tyre - I certainly wasn't!

Michelin Pilot Road Trails are luuuurverly for road use - got spies and stuff so great in the wet and dry :)

You could get a pair mail order for around £210, fitted to loose wheels maybe £30...so for a bit of work at home you'd save £100...or ride in ride out and save maybe £80

Knowledge is power and power is knowledge.... armed with the info on here, now £300 fitted and as pointed out above... the bike gets a good clean :)
I guess my choice is okay as no one has stated otherwise...
Thanks guys....

Ride in, they supplied and fitted Road smart 3's for my Multi about £260-00 all in

Mobile fitter near me offers a great service: Roadsmart 3s fitted at home £270. Great tyres for road use - glad I fitted them for my current trip to Austria.

Buy and fit them yourself, it's not that hard or buy the tyres yourself, remove the wheels and take said wheels and tyres to your local independent mechanic to fit. The most it should cost to fit them is about £50... I just bought pair of Metzler Tourance Nexts from TyreLeader for £190.
