Advice needed about West Yorkshire

OK, it looks like I'm going to be spending the next 6 months working in Halifax.

I'm going to need to find somewhere to stay.

I'm not a big fan of cities, but I do need broadband.

I'm happy with a 30 minute commute outside of Halifax, but would prefer to be South as it's closer to home.

Any suggestions of where I should go to look for somewhere to stay?

Personally I'd stick to the north of Halifax as you have easier access to the Dales of an evening I'd recommend Haworth as I'm biased, but it does have a good selection of pubs and restaurants with being touristy on a weekend, it's a fully cabled area for Broadband and it's a great place to live

The leafy suburbs to the north of Huddersfield are handy for Halifax and also for the M62 to get you back to the Southbound M1.

Id recommend Holmfirth. Beautifull countryside & good biking roads.
Pleanty of B&B/Guest Houses or properties for rent.
I too am Biased.

Hi Toad, if you are moving about why not get a 4g or rather 7.2kps mobile-broadband dongle from Virgin. I have a 3g unit from 3. It's contracts up soon (18-mth) which I'll be changing to a faster network.
