Hi Folks
I had my tank off last week trying to find why the low fuel light did not work . I tremoved the circular panel and disconected the pipes inside the tank to so I could remove the sender unit and float. I am pretty cirtain I put the pipes back on the right way round BUT tonight I completly filled the tank just before getting home . A few minutes later I went back into the garage and fuel was dripping from the overflow pipe. when I remove/ opened the tank lid it was as if the tank was pressurised and a small amount of fuel splurted out. I am hoping that it is just that I perhaps overfilled it and then when stood for a few minutes with a hot engine the fuel expanded and etc etc. .
If I had connected the pipes the wrong way round could this coars the tank to be pressurised ?
or does it not make any difference , the bike seems to run OK
