hello all
lately i`ve purchased a gerbings heated jacket and i`m well pleased with it, the only problem im having is with the wiring
i bought the dual controller with it to give me the second option and i hard wired the feed straight to the battery, thats all ok, the problem i`m having is what to do with all the spare wiring i have the contoller in me pocket and every time i move its turning it up or down because its rubbing on the rim of pocket, so has anybody had this problem before i`m thinking of velcro mounting the controller to the tank and hideing the spare wires under the seat, has this been done and was it successful...

cheers stainy

would it not be easier to fit a standard BMW plug and use the powersocket on the side... might be less chance of the controller being affected - or you could mount the controller to the frame - unless it needs constant adjustment I would've thought that would be easiest and less intrusive.

Jacket

You should have gon for the dash mounted controller, easy to use and not interfeird wth in any way, try putting iit on th bike as suggested be alomst as good. If it packs up check the cabl commin out of the jacket mine went right out in the wilds of cold, cold Suffolk!.
O K in colder Alska though woth every penny!.

Mine is wired direct to the battery with the surplus flex tucked under the seat, and the controller velcrode to the tank. I also velcroe the plug to the jacket to the same bit when not in use.

Fix the heat controller to the back/rear of the tank with self adhesive velcro:)
