Hi

As per the title, I have never used helmet comms off a police bike. Any recommendations?

All I'd want is a single set, capable of relaying the instructions from the Nav 5 and connecting to an iPhone 6.

I have two lids, so having chosen the ideal unit, can you swap then between helmets?

I have been totally happy with a wired with Bluetooth autocom system for the past 10 years.

Due to recent multi bike I went for full wireless helmet mounted bluetooth.

After various chats with other riders - went for the Interphone F5MC twin pack.

All I can say is great.

If buying again would buy the newer Tour for better battery life and at some point I will upgrade Interphone speakers (As I did with Autocom).

Hi

I went and bought the Tour last week, but I think its going back tomorrow. Even with the software upgrade the speakers can't be heard above walking pace.

If you want to plug in custom ear buds without modification (like the SoundEar from Ultimate Ears) then your best bet is the Cardo Scala Rider Q3 multi-set. AFAIK they're the only ones with an audio output socket.

Will you ever have a pillion? (and want to chat)

Will you ever want t chat to other riders in a group?

Assume not as you didn't mention it.

Do you have a budget in mind?

The output from Nav is pretty low quality (directions) IMHO, are you looking to get music from your iPhone or just calls?

Hi

Ive turned off the automatic volume control, so will give it another go.

The Interphone does seem a good bit of kit, but having spent £220 I strangely expect it to work.

I just want iPhone and Nav5 to run through it, no pillion.

Have you tried moving the speakers a bit to get them right over your ears?

I moved mine from the dealer fit (BMW) and even though it was about a centimetre difference, the speakers sounded much better as they were right over my lugs.

Hi

I've tried the speakers in three different locations so far. Hopefully with the auto volume off i will hear something.

I use two helmets in one I've got speakers that's ok for nav and music upto about 70, they are just cheap v4 unit about £60 for 2 units, this year went down to bike show at birmingham got some Ultimate Ears that plug into your ears, they are great quality but getting used to them I'm finding difficult, I can manage about four hours in my ears then it starts to bug me, I'm going to try them with a large helmet as the lid may be a bit tight,

Hi

Ive tried them again today, and ok up to about 25mph, so nothing like 70. I'm using an Arai RX7v.

Sena 20S has audio out sockets - although I don't see the OP asking for that feature.
