After owning a GS for 7 months and only being able to ride it 3 times due to problems. To Home, work and then back to the garage where it's sat ever since. I kid you not! With a summers worth ridding and allot of plans waisted. Im thinking of having a change and looking at a KTM 950.

What to look for...??

Is this worth a look...?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

They're absolutely great bikes!

At 35k miles I'd be asking the seller if it's had a water pump seal kit recently.
They're a bit fussy with oil and only really like the expensive stuff so I'd ask what was put in at the last service.

Nothing else other than the usual things to check with any bike, headstock bearings, wheel bearings, disc thickness etc.

It certainly looks tidy!

I'm not put off owning a GS. I still like the look of them but I just need some space away at the moment... It's like a divorce :D

Something thin young and sexy.. Hence KTM

I always prefered the 950 Adv to the 990. That looks like a really nice cared for bike. Owners on Avdrider have put serious miles on them with few problems and mostly preventitive maintenance. I do know of one bike here that has done the bottom end of the engine in, but the owner stupidly used cheap Tesco brand type oil to save himself a few quid. Guess he's sorry now.
