I'm guessing you want to know that this is correct?

Yes - normally this is fine, but sometimes depends on your network provider.

The only issue will be your connection speed. 3G is OK but not great. Broadband is ALOT faster (generally speaking).

Go to settings and set personal hotspot to on. You will have created your own mini wifi network. Set your iPad to link to the wifi and all done.

Ps as mentioned before just worth double checking your network that it's ok. I know Three allows this as I'm changing in a few weeks when my present contract is up, but I'm not so sure about the other networks.

I think most Mobile Phone companies charge extra for tethering. I am with Three and for me its free which isn't a bad deal as my monthly iPhone call/text/data package including 1Gb of data is only £11.26. I have heard that many companies charge £5 just for the tethering option.

Broadband is far faster though. Checkout the following link for more advice
