I'm looking for advice on which headset to use for a Schuberth Concept helmet when used with a Zumo 550. I'm starting from scratch & don't currently have any headset etc (or a Zumo for that matter but hoping Santa will bring me one - at least that what I wrote in my letter to him!)

I want to be able to:

clearly hear the instructions,
listen to the MP3 in stereo (possible?),
take calls on mobile,
make calls on a mobile (when not moving of course !!)

but I'm not looking for either rider to pillion or rider to rider communication.

I would appreciate any advice on what options are open to me?

I bought an iTech Clip III headset off e-bay for under a tenner - It works for me. I can hear turn instructions up to 60 on the motorway even with my earplugs in. I don't know how deaf you are though ;) Over 60 and I can only hear the 'Bong' - but that's enough to make me look at the screen to get turn/speed camera instructions :)

There's no point in getting a posh stereo headset as the Zumo is only mono (it doesn't support the A2DP Bluetooth profile)

There has to be a Santa

there is no santa

WHAT NO SANTA - so who is the guy in the red coat with long white hair and a big red nose on whose knee I sit each year !! ??

And more importantly how am I going to get a Zumo now ?!

Thanks for the info - just one last question, if you can't get stereo on the the Zumo with BT, can you with a direct lead to the unit ?
