Right folks, bit of advice required please.
I am thinking about selling my 2010, 1200 TC.

I have been watching the GS Motorcycles for sale board for a while and people do not seem to be having much success on their.

My question is why is that ? Not a lot of money about, priced to high

Where is the best place to sell in your humble opinion ?

Cheers

the "market place" is probably a bit flooded with bikes at the moment with the release of the new model, and the fact that the GS has been a huge seller for the last few years.be realistic about how much you think the bike is worth and it will sell:comfort

I've used ebay to great success for my last two bike sales.

Be honest in the description - tyre tread depth, service history, extras will help it sell (but won't necessarily add to the standard value of the bike) so you may want to sell separately , or leave some things on to make it more desirable.

Make sure its clean and polished...no one wants to buy a "new" bike and have to set to cleaning it before they can show it to their mates. Otherwise expect to get far less for it.

Take really good photos (get a mate with an SLR if you don't have one yourself) with good contrast (bright sunlight...you remember that?) and in nice surroundings - I took my KTM up to a village green.

Show any damage too, this shows upfront honesty, saves wasting time and haggling too.

This is what I took to give an idea - note the piccys of scratches, tread depth etc. (that bike had done 20000 miles be ridden right through the winter..I love FS365)

Good luck!
