Hi. I’m in the process of fitting a sound bomb compact on a 2018 GSA. I’m using the wiring adapter to use the original horn harness. Two wires lead to the horn via a connector. Which is the live? Brown or green? Ive not worked on a modern cambus system so don’t want to cause any fault codes etc by getting it wrong. I’ve read brown is earth but have seen conflicting information. Cheers for any help

Soundbomb uses two spade connectors if i recall,

But you need the correct cable to connect it the the BMW harness,

not cheap, about £12 from Denali if i recall

the bay may be cheaper

I have all the kit including the BMW adapter. Just need to know whether the brown or green wire is the positive feed

I'm confused?

If you have the bmw adaptor just plug it in to the horn loom, its poke yoked, so you cant get the connector's wrong or have you chopped the end off the original one ?

I’ll try and explain. The original horn has two wires attached to its connector. One is brown one is green. I’ve taken the connector off the the horn and plugged it into the new Denali adapter. The adapter has two black wires with spade connectors that should fit the new Denali loom. Therefore I need to know which of the black wires is the live feed as the old horn doesn’t have a plus or minus to identify which of the two original leads was earth or live. Hope that makes sense

Plug the the unit into the denali and press the horn button if the horn sounds it's right , if the horn doesn't sound or sucks instead of blows, the wires are the wrong way round

I know what you mean, if you wire it like this all will be ok. The orange wire to the connector near the left fork leg.

I definitely won't suck :)

Thanks for your replies. I’ll connect it up later. Just didn’t want to cause a fault code and then find it can only be reset by a BMW dealer. Thanks again

Just be aware,

if you have a factory low model, it will clash with the mudguard of full compression - DAMHIK lol

for those, you need the split
