Wanted Advice re wheel chock please

Hi All,
Getting a general purpose flat bed trailer with ramp in which I want to transport bikes with front wheel diameter from 17 to 21 inch, Researching front wheel chocks but the choice in incredible really from cheap rubbish to brilliant I'm sure, but unless you can examine and try said items how do you know ? My preference would be one where you can leave the base frame bolted down and remove the upper chock part so to speak in order to free up space for loading other things. Does anyone have experiences or recommendations ?
