People, I would appreciate a bit of help, if you will. the computer system I work on at work uses Microsoft systems, NT, I think. It uses Microsoft Word to deal with the usual reports, etc.
Now, I frequently have a need to work at home, either on my own computer or a laptop, both of which have Windows XP home edition as the operating system.
The problem is that when I type up reports etc, the laptop does them as a .wps file, which the work system will not read. For example, today I e-mailed some documents from home to work. Opened the files on the work system, unreadable, unintelligable gobbledy-gook.
I hope this aint a stupid question, but I would appreaciate a bit of guidance as to why this is so, and ghow I can get around it, perhaps. As I said, I am a bit of a numpty past a certain stage with komputas.
Thanks in anticipation
