Advice sought, any good for a novice green lamer? CCM C-XR 230-E

Looking to dip my toe in the water, dont want to spend too much, this is available for less than £1400.

Opinions please, thanks in advance.

I am intrigued?

What is it you have in mind? Will I have to sell my soul?

Many thanks, I await with baited breath.

Another possible steed!

Kawasaki KLX 300 suitable for a novice green laner, or too powerful? Any particular problems to look out for

Good choice, IIRC they had a few issues - but so does every bike

Been out on the XR250 today and just does everything well (not fast or rip snorting) but is so easy and forgiving to ride solo

I did a really snotty and technically difficult lane today, with big rocks and a few fallen logs, up what is basically a stream - with some mud slots at the end and I rode it like a trials bike, without footing on just a whiff of throttle

Satisfying to get it right and that way you don't expend much energy footing and getting stuck

Big bikes can be more fun, but also make you tired in the technical and tight stuff
