i'd like to fit a y-piece instead of the cat convertor on my 1150GS. does any know if this will have an effect on the level of emissions and it could fail an MOT? hope this makes sense... since i am not mechanically minded at all. cheers!

Should not affect MOT.
Might make the exhaust sound a bit 'fruitier' but again should be no problems.

What's the situation (1150) about fuel consumption after fitting a Y-piece?
Am interested in fitting same to mine, but this is the first bike I've had for a long long time that uses less fuel than my car..
Not looking for anything too scientific - but is it noticeable?
