...can anyone recommend a tail tidy for my 07 X Country?

Ideally I'd like to keep the original indicators and fit a smaller number plate.

R & G make/made one but it interfered with the indicators. No good.

I would also like to buy.......
......... a 2nd hand X COUNTRY tank bag, although will consider a new one if available.

Thanks.

IMHO, keep the original BMW tailtidy

The R&G one is ok, but you get covered in raod dirt and the TT is for an XChallenge and similarly offers no mud protection

..fair play

...have to say the 'grime' factor did cross my mind!...

okay, bin the tail tidy idea.....TANK BAG SEARCH CONTINUES!!!:aidan

Wolfman tank bag fits really good.

I personally like the TT tail tidy and it's on my list of things to get.

Hi

...I notice you have an X CHALLENGE, is the bag compatible with the X COUNTRY?

Have you a picture of it on your bike?

I'll put it on and take a picture in the next couple of days. Need to get it sorted for the dragon rally anyway.

It's the smaller wolfman expedition tank bag. It's a bit like a tardis inside!

Nice bike! Could you tell me where you got the footpeg extensions from? Are they CJ designs?
Thanks

Footpegs

Yes they are the small CJ designs ones. Got them from Zen Overland for about £80. You have to contact him as he doesn't list them for the pivot pegs but was able to supply them.

How good is the centre stand, does it tuck up ok and is it easy to put the bike on and off it

Stand tucks up out of the way fine. I find it easy to put on the stand as long as you have the racks on to get hold of although they also supply a handle to get hold of which bolts where the rear footpegs would normally go. I couldn't fit mine as I have the remote reservoir for the rear shock fitted there.

Because of where it fits it seems to provide a degree of protection around where the footpegs fit to the bike.

cheers

..thanks for the picture of the tank bag/bike, looks a cracking tool and loads of fun, now got bike envy!

For the record if anyone out there is looking for an 07, 4500 miles, immaculate X COUNTRY with remus can (inc original), hand guards, ally bash plate, head light protector, heated grips, centre stand, tall screen, tail rack, ally mounting plate and genuine BMW 650 tail bag, plus a BAGSTER tank cover, well I might sell. It stands me in for 4k and it really is a very fine example.

Spread the word fellow Tossers:type:thumb2
