I really fancy treating myself to one of these suits but as they are not available over here yet does anyone know a good alternative. I am wary about importing one as it might not fit!

Yea done that and it tells me I want a 42 long with possible andjustent needed to make the legs shorter ? Why not a 42 regular then? Is there that much differance!
This is what's putting me off ordering one!

phone them up and talk it over they are very helpfull and the sizing is spot on just remember the time difference

Blag a try on of a suit from someone you know that's got one - that'll give you an idea

You can wear them on any bike you know, not just 650 and 800 twins. 
If they say you need a 42 with shortened legs then you probably have a slightly long torso in relation to leg length. That's why not a 42R. A 42R would probably result in your knackers being crushed as you walk around and your trouser legs being a bit too long.

Thanks for your comments guys. After a lengthy conversation with Aerostich I have taken the plunge. My new suit should arrive next Friday.
Now have a full rukka air vantage suit for sale that I will put on the for sale section in the next couple of days when I get round to taking some pics. But if any of you fellow 800/650 compadres want first dibs at it I am looking at about £500ish. It's black and medium size ish! Will have to check labels etc. Pm me if interested.
Ps. It is very good condition and has had little use. Would say as new but it's about 3 yrs old now but bloody good condition.

I take it that you've bought one already made and in stock? They usually take about 6 weeks to make to measure...

I have 2 of them a 2 piece and a 1 piece. The 2 piece is warmer in winter and bought to get the right size off the shelf.
I've done at least 50k miles in my 2 piece and it's only let in water when I've not done up the zips and flaps properly.
1 bit of advice - get some 'seam seal' stuff from nikwax and carefully soak the material either side of the zips paying close attention to the crotch area and wash it reasonably regularly (I wash mine every 4 or 5 thousand miles) with nikwax wash in stuff which keeps it spiffy.
It looks permanently shabby now but I still have an almost unused hi-viz yellow one ready to use! Bought it when the exchange rate was $2.12:£1
