I think the men and women you give us the chance to do what we want to do each day, would also like not to be shot at.

Being wet for a day is such a small price to pay :bow

Bert,
Very true but it is still nice to have a sunny remembrance day....:bow Here's looking forward to next Sunday.....

Graeme ;)

Don't dis-agree @ all with the sentiment & cause, and never will; the sooner global conflict comes to an end & the British Armed Forces are on UK terra firma, the better...

Was just hoping for a sunny day; if it rains, then so be it...

Morning chaps would you mind if i joined you for the return ride from the red lion if that is OK what time approx will you be there?

No idea really, it's one of those days where we have to go with the flow. Guessing 11:30 but literally stabbing in the dark.

11.30 only if a lot better than last year, think we left the runway around 1.30pm last year, that was a 9am start as well.

Also at the end of the day I'm just going to shoot off and make my own way back.

We'll revise the route to go home after we have had lunch.
My A road route home is about 4.5 hrs with a fuel stop and a tea/pee stop at Newlands Corner.
If time is against us we can take motorway which is half the time.

DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR WRIST BAND, BIKE TAG AND DOCS

Also your own flask of tea and snacks if you wish to.
Weather is 13-15C with showers expected.

Good luck one and all.

Hope they're more efficient and regimented this year.

Reportedly, last year 20,000 bikers / bikes attended the event, this year numbers are limited to 10,000 although still a huge event, with numbers halved the event should be somewhat easier to manage and traffic more flowing (fingers crossed).

Why the hurry Mike?
Not stopping and having some R&R with your buddies (ahem..... some new ones too :augie) at The Red Lion would be a crime.
Banter, bollox, beer (or tea if you prefer ;) ) and food. :D :thumb

See you all at Membury Services at 0800hrs. :bounce1

Regards,

Richard.
