Pros and Cons to all of this ! I can fully understand the concerns of some people on here,especially the M4 part !! Hopefully it wont be too busy on the day and I'm sure some riders will move in from other routes too.
Lets hope that it goes as it is intended too and that the cash collectors are Bona Fide and that loads a dosh goes to the lads who are giving their lives.

On another note,why the fuck do we have to do things like this to support our fighting men when this pissarsed Government can give £20,000,000 to the Haitian Earthquake Fund !!!! Aint we supposed to be skint !!
Dont get me wrong,I feel extremely sorry for the victims but why is it good old F'ing England is the first in line to dish out the Gold when half the richest Nations of this world dont give a fuck !

So i'm sure they have spoken to the correct people and everything is in place.
If things need to be changed due to amount of bikes, i'm sure they will change these things.

Shall we all see what is said on the following Monday?? All of us who are going to attend will I'm sure soon let you know how the event went off. I'm sure that a few people will ask questions as to what when and where the money will be going. If it turns out to be a bum event then I'm sure we who attended will be big enough to say so on this forum.

Personally I'm just going to show my support for my nephew and to four of his best "Bootneck" mates who the last time came back through Wooton Bassett with people bowing their heads!!! Good lads all

Spoke with the organisers last night. They share the same worries with the phenomenal growth of the event and are burning the midnight oil to ensure everyone gets their chance to do their thing.

Exactly right, they will never learn and as the Chilcott inquiry will undoubtedly show all recent conflicts are fully justified!!! Who are we to argue! You've even posted that you spoke to them, and that they are worried about the numbers so they are looking how to change the plans.

Both Martin & I have had discussion over the event and we've offered support from the lessons we've learnt with RTTW. I know he's going on the day, and it looking increasingly likely now that I will be too.

Well i am going and so are many of my mates, 4000 + bikes signed up so far and it may turn out to be the biggest two wheel rally this year. I am going for the ride out and show support for the lads and lasses serving not the government they are all twats.
Think i will buy the wristband on the site, cos there will be a hell of a queue at the service station
And there were no chef's in the navy they were all cooks

According to CW's, at the moment there are around 6300 registered riders!! Just wondering if The Rev had heard any more info from the organisers? My quote about the good people of Wooton Bassett watching the bikes roll through their town still stands, I just hope that they bring a flask and some sarnies as they may be there for some time!!

Just wondering how the service station and RAF Lyneham will cope
Any word yet on the days organisation, initial, rendezvous, parking, route, marshals, possible police assistance and the like ?

Den I thought you could only get them on the day ? or do you know something I don't

Each rider will pay £5 (on the day) and receive a special commemorative Afghan Heroes wristband, which will be their entry pass to the RAF base.

Confusion over wristbands? I think Uncle Ricky is right - only available on the day. But it will have to be a slick operation to hand them over to the 13,000 riders registered so far (Sunday 7 Feb). Better have your fivers ready! And a big bucket for the £65,000....
