Whats with the 'groundbreaking' bollox Nutty? I know you're into 'latest has to be best' but really...,.and anyway, auto box, is that not groundbreaking for you?

Yes and the original AT was never fast, great handling, 100% reliable etc etc BUT it was a great bike with almost iconic status.
Why? Because of what they were used for, so lets hope for some feedback of one being properly used and not whining about wind noise, a switch not in the right position ad nauseam

I think the AT is aimed at KTM, they already have the Crossrunner/tourer to cover the road element , this bike is designed to do the offroad / adventure bit (hence true adventure moniker) it has to be good else the yanks/Auzzies/South Africans will destroy it when they start thrashing it through the wilds like they did with the S10 which survived and has shown to be almost unbreakable. I was hoping it was going to be fairly basic on the electronics front but my dealer says they could not go with the V engine as they couldn't fit all the electronic gubbins in the V so the para twin has the space behind to fit it all.

Honda need something with a bit of excitement or they will slide to where Yam were before the MT series launch, I stood in my local dealers on the day I bought the Tracer and said offer me something interesting to stop me continuing on to the Yam dealer and buying a Tracer, low mile 15 reg Blade :augie a new Crossrunner @ £10k or a v low mile loaded 15 plate Tourer highlander @ £10k I was tempted with both crosses as I like both engines but at £2k more than the Tracer :nenau the blade was also tempting as I do like a sports bike in the stable once in a while. I then thought really there is nothing in here that really jumps out at me, they are all good bikes and they are Honda's but I felt no excitement or lust in that showroom :(

So I hope the AT lives up to expectations on ability and price cos they need it, they should have done the launch Triumph just did, a couple of mentions and spy shots in the comic and then wallop here you go boys shiny toys :clap

anyway bollocks
