Africa Twin is coming

Have I seen a one piece enduro seat somewhere (I'm sure I have ..). Pipe, one piece seat, TKC's, a little grill over the headlight ..... That would look cracking ... !!

:thumb2

That does look a classy adventure bike. If I wasn't that biassed towards road riding (or to put it another way, if I was more biassed to off roading) I'd have one ...

First bike for 16 years to really turn my head.

1190r nearly did it and although they can be had for less than £7k 2nd hand now I'd prefer the AT, something I never thought I'd say before riding one.

Hmmmm, doesn't feel it has the grunt of my 1150 but.......

I remember Wreford starting a thread about 'grunt' in the WC section and the idea that, with it's lighter fly wheel it didn't 'feel' as gruntier than the twin cam even though on paper it was.

The AT almost felt like a smooth single to me, I guess it's something to do with the close firing system they've given it. It's just that same argument I suppose ... how a bike feels in the seat of your pants... :beerjug:

It's 'only' about how a bike feels to me Larry which is why I love how raw my 640 is these days and quite probably why I won't end up with an AT, in the seat of my pants, as brilliant as it is, it's overly refined for my tastes.

Maybe in the dim distant future, when I've given sex and taken up golf, just maybe that's the time to get one.

I'd love a full system.....but probably very expensive. Anyhow, can you say if there's going to be any chance of the super bashplate being made available ?

Suprise, suprise - Termignoni failed yet again to get the new images and details to me today  - I'll call again tomorrow and see what he has to say..........

Bashplate - absolutely :D:D:D shouldn't be too far away from what you see on the concept bike :thumb2

I do wonder does every manufacturer of aftermarket exhausts actually test their products on the bikes that they make them for ?

We've now seen the Termignoni video, so presume they have properly developed their exhaust, but are others equally thorough ?

:nenau

I know that Termignoni, Akrapovic, Remus and Arrow dyno test each new product on the bike during development :thumb, but I expect that is all part of the homologation process (and these 4 manufacturers self-certify for homologation as well :green gri )

No idea. I like the 'upswept' lines of the termi ... That and a decat and it would probably sound pretty good ... !!

Think I'll stick with the standard end can until I can afford the full Termi system as just the slip on can won't look great with the OE headers and black cover etc.

We agree on something

Ultimately, this is why I like my 1190 - it's also 'raw' and a bit brutal - it makes me feel alive .... !

And then for me ........ the 950 was better still than the 1190, not as good on tarmac granted, but far better offroad :beerjug:

And the 950 Super Enduro better yet ...
