I bought the first model 12000GS back in 2004 and still have it. Any problems were sorted under warranty.

I bought my first 1150 just after they were released, 17 yrs later still riding one and wouldn't change to anything else, so ..........

LOL I don't really know what to say about it really has that made me think I need one, Not really it looks the nuts in the hands of the professional off-roaders riding it and the engine bars and spots look nice just wish the announcement was price or release date at least then id know weather to wait or not !!

I don't have to or need to explain or justify what I buy. As I said previously, I can buy just about any bike currently available, if my ego was in need of stroking, I'd be looking to show off on something much more expensive or exclusive than a Honda.

I think maybe you need to put that sour streak away, because that's how you're coming over to more than me on this thread and I'm sorry for you if that's all that makes you happy Unless it's your ego you're trying to boost by putting others and their choices down, but it's making you look a tad bitter.

The U.K. Price is being released on the 28th of Nov at the NEC Motorcycle Live show. I'm getting a pre-release special ticket for the unveiling on the 28th. My flight over is on the 30th.....

I should have said, I'm getting one of 200 tickets being given to those who have placed a deposit. Wouldn't like someone to think it was just me getting a ticket.........

Still, it won't help with me going on the wrong day but at least it gets me in for free.

I think it's a very attractive proposition. It doesn't look over burdened with pointless tech and although it's not super lightweight it's not a great big fat lump. Interesting to see they've gone with the 18/21" wheel combo. Be interesting to see what tyres it ships with. 93HP is more than enough too, I dare say it'll be frugal enough to get 250 miles out of that 18 litre tank.

If I was in the market for a new bike (which I'm really not!) the new Africa Twin would be high up on my short list. Of course so would an 1190 Adv

Looks like I'll just have to bible on with my trusty 950 ... it's a hard life
