That sounds pretty much as mine did-hardly surprising as I also had a Remus end can.Only difference is my headers were stainless and not so 'sexy' as the ones shown.
But to be honest,it was too noisy for every day use with the baffle out.

Never liked the 'pattern' on the fairing panel with the Honda badge on it. Some said it was a map of Africa....I just thought it was stupid. Sooooo.....had them smoothed down and painted gloss black. I was tempted to have them done white, but I chickened out of that idea and really happy with how they look now. 
I'm betting that most folk won't even notice the difference.

Got to agree Davy, the finish from the factory does look shite, I don't think I'd bother getting mine painted though, I hardly notice it now....
