Dazzle your going to be sorely disappointed mate as the rest of us are with our bikes:blast all of us putting more farkles on them on a daily basis just to make them more appealing to the potential buyer, they are so bad there all up for sale, mines that bad and so uncomfortable for a pillion I think id be lucky to get £5k back for it, Davy's is so clean because its never started and Arsey's is trailer'd to those locations just for the pics as its got such low power it wouldn't be able to pull its self over the hills in the background of the picture, as for the DCT be careful it don't just drive off all on its own when you get it out the garage !!

Yer Right  Great choice of bike mate im sure you'll enjoy it, I love my one and look forward to riding it every time, its a breath of fresh air compared to the ageing competition, there's nothing else in that biking sector id rather have, 3 weeks till my 1000 mile Wales trip cant wait, wish it had gold wheels though !!

Enjoy your new bike mate
Rob

Oh dear, Dazzle. Can't say how sorry you'll be......:blast

Anyway, here's short screen number 2. MRA (solid) black. Nicer shape than the Powerbronze, tho' a couple of minor points. They put six holes in the screen, only four are needed, so I had to cover the two extra middle holes with black plastic caps. The fit isn't quite as good as the PB....I had to faff about and space the top right screw out a bit to stop it rubbing the top part of the fairing which would have gone through the paint very quickly. The edge of the screen isn't as smoothly finished as the PB screen either, tho' they do give you a edging bead to fit round that which I don't like having on and it would have made it even tighter at the fairing top.

Anyway, I'll test it out on Saturday and see if it's any better than said PB screen.

Don't get a power point, what options have people gone for £50 + fitting from Honda a tad steep
What yer done power wise folks ?

Six ferries, with final one home tomorrow,1949 miles and seven islands in eight days.
The bike coped with the roads better than any other bike I can think of.
All day comfy and no buffeting with tall seat/tall screen combo.
Average 50.4 mpg with full luggage. The DCT was a revelation and was telepathic for 90% of the time with just occasional manual intervention required ,but for riding over passes like the Hardknott it was peerless.
Faults/observations ? Well,on occasion the suspension was just a bit too soft but then again coped much better than all the other bikes on the trip in my opinion (GS/GSA/KTM 1190/Vstrom etc)
Would I change anything ? Yup,the OE Dunlops are shite and don't offer the same planted feel as Conti TA2s which I've had for 1000s of miles on my KTM 950SE and will be fitting to the AT as soon as I'm home. They move about a bit in the dry and are really slippy in the wet and the Snake Pass lived up to its name in the only rain we had all week.
And the OE panniers are a bit crap-the lids are too flexible and can be a bugger to shut. They will be changed, probably for Metal Mules which I can then use on future bikes too.
So overall, the bike was amazing.Didn't see another in the whole 8 days and 1950 miles from the south coast to the Outer Hebrides and back.

Should have read gone to Hilltop on way up as bike is even better now fuelling is spot on !

Favourite island by the way was Harris-utterly stunning and I've been to a few around the world !

No dyno run as DCT won't allow gear changes if front wheel stationary but Geoff said by experience it felt like 105/110bhp.

It certainly flies now and gear changes even smoother with auto or manual!

Excuse the ignorance but How does he map it if he can't dyno it?

He could re-map but it would all be guesswork without measurement - but hey he has to make a living and has sufficient followers who don't question and skimpy 'believe' :)

Who cares what the numbers are; the proof is in the way the bike rides after the remap.;)

Out of the hundreds of people here that have been to see Geoff, I don't recall reading of ONE person that wasn't happy, so he must be doing something right.:beerjug:

I saw the Africa Twin down in TouratechDE a few weeks ago, had a good look round it.

I liked what I saw :thumb

Yet again the muppet proves he has the most inappropriate forum name in history.
