Africa Twin is HERE !!!

That looks great.:thumb

I'd consider selling the XR and getting one, as I need to slow down a bit. Have they sorted the spoke issue yet? Any other first model year issues that have yet to be sorted?

2000 miles spokes like new :thumb

Just had an email from Honda UK. I had a warranty claim annulled when I asked my dealer to fit a new set of grips. I then decided to ask for a refund and this is the response.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your recent contact to our offices regarding the heated grips for your Honda Africa Twin.

I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed by the grips. As previously advised, a counter measure is due at the end of November, for this reason I am sorry to have to advise that we are unable to refund the cost of the grips for your motorcycle.

Please be assured that once the counter measure has been released this will be provided to customers who have contacted us as quickly as possible.

I hope that this clarifies the matter for you and would like to thank you for taking the time to contact Honda (UK).

So, maybe a fix before the end of the year. Still a pretty lengthy time for a fix to be found, just hope it gets them up to a proper heat.

You'd think they would have sent you a complimentary pair of winter gloves

One could say the same about your "poke a stick in the hornets nest" comments you often post in the GS section !

The continual problem seems to be your attitude and using other people's material to prop up your insecurity about a bike you've bought that some people say isn't as good as another .

If you like it that's all you need isn't it ? Why always trying to prove its the best ?

A deep insecurity in oneself maybe ?

The only thing I never take the Pi55 out of is a mans Car/Bike, his woman or his work, that way i keep my teeth and friends, I must admit though like Arsy I do get the tits when people who havnt even ridden the bike make uneducated guesses about it from reading the monthly rags, I never make comments like that, about anything without trying the item im commenting on, my comment is then based on fact not fiction. But as someone here said we are all different,

Thats fine . Ive not ridden it but I bet I'd love it , especially the DCT but probably wouldn't buy one as it's a tad heavy (allegedly )to even go on gentle trails .

I didnt buy mine for off roading although did fit the TKC80s just in case (and they look better) I bought a 690 Enduro R for that

I will try the DCT one next year maybe trade the NC750X for one (Id get the Tri colour one next) but dont tell anyone LOL
